Hamilton Sweeps the Tony’s!

Richard Rodgers Theater HamiltonWe all know how incredible this hip-hop musical is. It took Broadway by storm from the get-go. It was honored with 16 Tony nominations this spring, the most in the history of the awards. When all was said and done, the show walked away with a total of 11 Tony’s, second only to The Producer who won 12 categories in 2001. Here is a quick list of what happened the night of June 12th:

Best Book: Lin-Maanuel Miranda
Best Lighting Design: Howell Binkley
Best Original Score: Lin-Manuel Miranda
Best Orchestration: Alec Lacamoire
Best Direction: Tomas Kail
Best Choreography: Andy  Blankenkuehler
Best Actress in a Featured Role: Renee Elise Goldsberry
Best Actor in a Featured Role: Daveed Diggs
